Hosted by the Lady RoughRiders AA Hockey Club and Boulder Hockey Club, we invite you to join our Fourth Annual Boulder Breakout AA tournament held at the Sports Stable just outside of beautiful Boulder, Colorado over President's Day weekend 2024!
Divisions
- 19U AA - $1900
- 16U AA - $1900
- 14U AA - $1900
- 12U A - $1650
*Tournament Directors reserve the right to combine 16u/19u Tier II Divisions based on number of teams and/or level of competition.
Where / When
February 16-19, 2024 at Blue Sport Stable - Superior, CO.
Teams should expect to start play at 7:00am on Friday (Feb 16) and finish final games by 2:00pm on Monday (Feb 19).
*Local teams may be asked to play on Thursday Night (Feb 15).
Acceptance
Teams will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve registration. We will notify you if your team has been waitlisted.
PAYMENT AND APPROVAL
We encourage all teams to register for the tournament. Once tournament staff has had a chance to review and approve teams; we will reach out to let you know you have been accepted. If you would like to pay by check, please contact the tournament director.
THINGS TO DO
The Boulder Breakout Tournament is being held at the new Sport Stable facility conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown Denver and 10 minutes from Boulder, Colorado. The facility is home to two full size ice sheets and a skill pad. Other onsite amenities include the HangryHorse Eatery - a full service restaurant and bar with 7 professional golf simulators, Hangry Horse Cafe & Coffee Shop, limited hockey pro-shop, and a variety of fitness amenities (everything from golf to basketball).
Within minutes of the facility, there are plenty of options for your team to eat, get out and explore.
Just across HWY 36 is RocketSkate, a full service hockey store,as well as a number of restaurants including Mod Pizza, Jimmy Johns, Smashburger, Tokyo Joe's, Noodles & Company, Qdoba, Chipotle, McDonalds, LaMar’s Donuts, and many others.
The Flatirons Crossing Mall includes food options as well as an AMC Theater just a few minutes down HWY 36 in Broomfield. The Westminster Promenade (also located a few minutes down HWY 36) includes a Dave & Busters, Fat Cat’s (bowling, indoor putt-putt, and an arcade), and the Butterfly Pavilion, as well as many food options.
The Pearl Street Mall in Boulder and the popular Chautauqua Hiking Area are just a short 15-20 minute drive.
Colorado is also home to many popular ski areas. The following ski areas are all located within 1-2 hours of the facility: Eldora, Winter Park, Breckenridge, Keystone, Copper Mountain, Vail.
