Co-Ed Teams (A, B, Rec)

Boulder Hockey Club takes pride in offering a hockey option for all levels of players in both Co-Ed and Girls Only teams. This includes options for those that want to travel more as well as those that prefer to play locally.

All of the Boulder RoughRider teams will train and skate out of the blue Sport Stable, a state-of-the-art facility with 2 NHL Size Ice Rinks, 1 Skill-Pad Ice Rink, Turf Fields, Basketball/Volleyball courts, and Impact Sports Fitness.

From Learn to Play to a path to AAA (Tier I) or High School Hockey, Boulder Hockey Club has an option for your child athlete. Our strong partnership with the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders Tier I for boys and our relationships with Team Colorado Girls enable Boulder Hockey Club to prepare your athlete for the next level.

Co-Ed Teams (A, B, Rec)

Boulder Hockey Club offers Travel and Recreational team options. These include fielding Co-Ed teams at the A, B, and recreational levels. These teams generally travel less than the High-Performance teams, primarily within the State of Colorado.

These programs are designed for players that are working towards a high-performance team, prefer less travel, and for our Recreational teams, those who prefer an option with lower time commitments.

A & B Team Details

BHC will field A & B Teams at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels. Our A and B teams will play in the CCYHL (Colorado Competitive Youth Hockey League) as well as in non-league games against other teams from around the state. Our teams typically play in the International Silver Stick Regional Tournament as well as additional tournaments locally in Colorado. Teams may also elect to play one out-of-state tournament.

Boulder A & B Teams are all led by a Professional Head Coach, with cross-over coaching from our High-Performance Model coaches. A typical schedule for our A & B Teams will consist of 3 weekday practices (team practice, director skill session, and Skill Pad), 1 coach-led off-ice training session, and weekend practices (based on game schedules).

A&B Team players will have the option to add a discounted unlimited membership to Impact Sports Fitness. Impact offers players instructor-led classes including Strength, Jumping/Landing Mechanics, M.A.P.S., Boxing, Yoga, CrossFit, H.I.T.T., Speed/Agility, and Mobility/Recovery.

Recreational Teams

BHC may field Recreational Teams at the 10U, 12U, and 14U levels based on the number of players. There is cross-over coaching from our High-Performance Model & Skill coaches. A typical schedule for our Rec Teams will consist of 2 weekday practices (team practice and director skill session), optional coach-led off-ice training sessions based on the team.
